I don’t know about anyone else, but I find this pretty hilarious. The whole ‘creepy, child-like midget’ concept is one thing, but the ‘creepy, child-like midget busting a move’ is a whole other scenario. Of course, there are some who would find this more creepy and disturbing, but personally, I find it entertaining as hell.

This is a clip from a ’90’s movie out of Kollywood (not to be confused with Bollywood), one of the movie centers of India. I think that the midget is actually the oldest person out of everyone in this clip! Creepy.

    BlackBerry Essentials

    By sliptide | July 23, 2008

I will preface this with: I am not entirely sure how valid it is for BlackBerry users who have anything but the 8100 Pearl and the Curve versions, but here is a list of some of the neato things that are must-haves (or must check-outs) for BlackBerry’s today.

    1) Specifically for the Pearl 8100 users: ColorPearl. This awesome little application takes full advantage of the 4 color LED’s sitting behind the Pearl’s.. well… pearl. You can have it light up to a random color when using the phone, or select a RGB value to try and make your own custom colors for use. Some of them look down right wicked (i.e. a near black light violet color, the obnoxious magenta/pink, and orange or a few of my favs).

    2) OperaMINI: Yes yes! Faster, slick presentation, and better favorites management. OperaMINI is a must have, especially if you are using T-Mobile and their slow EDGE network; it will speed things up a bit when surfing the web on the go.

    3) iBlackBerry theme: Like the icons and feel of the iPhone? Me too ;P Download the theme in any of the standard presentation formats (icon, zen) and enjoy the refreshing new look of your iPearl or iCurve ;) The icons are extremely well crafted. There are some additional touches, such as the fade-in of text on the main screen (when using zen theme) and some heads-up icon relocation. If you haven’t upgraded your firmware because you didn’t like the new layouts, this will change your mind since it looks a whole ton better!

    4) Google Maps Mobile: Duh. It’s Google Maps on your phone! ’nuff said ;P

    5) Google Talk for BlackBerry: At one time it was an exclusive to BlackBerry. This is a real Google Talk client. Fairly quick and lightweight, and always on. I really love the integration with the phone so I am always signed in for friends to chat me up in an instant.

    6) Soft Reset is a utility that let’s you completely reset the BlackBerry, w/out having to remove the damn battery!

    7) Facebook for Blackberry.  ‘Nuff said.

    Waste Management Issues… in Orbit?

    By Nick | July 20, 2008

I found this somewhat shocking when I first stumbled across it, but apparently the Earth has a field of debris in orbit. Dead and fragmented satellites, mainly. The Discovery News Space Blog has more, after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

    Max Payne Movie Trailer

    By Nick | July 10, 2008

I’m a nerd, I totally love it when comics and games get made into movies. Of course it’s a downer when the movie sucks (I’m lookin’ at you, Uwe Boll), but still, the fact that somebody puts enough credit into a property to make it into a movie makes me feel all good inside. Well, I get that warm feeling from watching the trailer for Max Payne starring Mark Wahlberg. I’ll admit, I kinda like Marky Mark, and most of his work I find pretty enjoyable. I have yet to really see him in a role that I didn’t like (though I haven’t actually watched a whole lot of his movies). I think that the trailer is pretty bitchin’, so hopefully we’ve got a decent flick on our hands here.
